GLOSSARY
 

BULBOUS
 
Shaped like a bulb, especially at the base of a stem. The carved oak elizabethan bed has bulbous posts with oak dragooning and acanthus leaves. You may also see the bulbous leg on the oak refectory tables and oak jacobean trestle table.
